Our drug and alcohol treatment center in Chicago provides addiction treatment services for various substance abuse problems at different stages of severity. It can sometimes be difficult to determine if your loved one is abusing drugs because you are unfamiliar with the slang drug names that they may be using. Because we work so closely with addicts on varying substances, we have decided to provide a drug glossary of common slang terms for drugs to help. It’s important to familiarize yourself with these drug street names so that you can better identify addiction when there might be deception taking place from your loved one.

Amphetamine Street Names

Amphetamines are stimulants that affect the central nervous system. They include Adderall, Benezedrine, Ephedrine, Ritalin, and methamphetamine. Someone on one of these drugs will often have more energy, be more focused, and may be overly confident.
